Our workshop staff are fully qualified and we try our best to complete all servicing within one day. You can also book in your bike for service or discuss your requirements by calling the shop on 0203 222 0016 / email us at shop@cyclelab.co.uk or pop in and have a chat!

As a general guide we recommend you get your bike serviced twice a year however If you use it a lot, for example commuting every day, you may want to have it serviced more often. If you do a fair a bit of routine maintenance yourself, you could get away with less... drop by with your bike and we can let you know what we'd recommend.

Here's some more information about our servicing options

Safety check: £30 plus parts

This is recommended if your bike has been in storage, if you don't use it very often or if you've just bought a bike mail-order and need it building.

 

General Service: £55 plus parts (£45 if your bike is fixed or singlespeed)

• Frame & forks wiped down and checked for alignment
• Headset checked for free movement and adjusted if required
• Bottom Bracket checked for free movement and adjusted if required    
• Allen bolts checked and tightened to correct torque
• External adjustment of all bearings
• Lubrication of chain, mechs & cables
• Adjustment of brakes and gears
• Wheel hubs and rims checked for damage and wear
• Pump and inspect tyres for wear and tear
• Safety check (all fittings / mudguards / racks etc. are securely fastened)
• Brakes checked for effective operation and adjusted
• Drive train de-greased, remove, clean and checked for wear following components (chain, cassette, chain set, front and rear derailleur) removed
• This is the most popular choice. We check and adjust everything that moves, replacing components as necessary. One of our mechanics can call you with a quote to discuss what your bike needs... just let us know when you book in your bike!

 

Full Service: £100 plus parts

This the full works. We take your bike apart, clean and polish it down to the last bearing, and lovingly reassemble it. This option is the best value if you want to keep your bike in tip top condition or are preparing for a season of racing!
